MERCED COUNTY, CA — Last week, the Nisei Farmers League announced its endorsement of Assemblyman Adam Gray for Congress in California’s 13th Congressional District. In their endorsement, the Farmers League highlights how the Central Valley needs a representative who will champion comprehensive, common sense immigration reform including authorizing DACA and finally passing the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.

In explaining their endorsement, the Nisei Farmers League points to Gray’s long history of championing the agricultural issues that matter most in the Central Valley – arguing that Gray has “worked well with our agricultural issues including assisting farmworkers in the past.”

While John Duarte has taken advantage of farmers for his own benefit, Adam Gray has worked in the Assembly to expand opportunity and prioritize this critical industry daily.

“Farmers and farmworkers are the backbone of not only the Central Valley, but our nation as a whole,” said Assemblyman Adam Gray, Democratic nominee for California’s 13th Congressional District. “I am beyond proud to have earned the endorsement of the Nisei Farmers League and I look forward to having their continued support as we once again prioritize our agriculture industry here in the Central Valley."
